Baking school,
without the
school.
Three weeks of daily classes, in your own kitchen. One short lesson a day with a step by step guide, from your very first flour test to a braided challah. No experience needed. Start whenever you're ready.
Who it's for
For the one everyone asks to bring dessert.
Whatever brought you here, three weeks from now you'll be the one who made it.
The perfect birthday cake
Not from the bakery. From you. Layers you baked, buttercream you swirled, and a kid who will always remember that you made it.
Friday night
A challah you braided yourself, still warm on the table. A tradition you pass down, not pick up.
The dinner party
You set down an apple crumble pie you made from scratch and the table goes quiet. Then someone asks for the recipe.
The syllabus
Learn it once. Bake it forever.
Every session teaches the why behind the bake: what makes cookies chewy and what makes bread rise. Once you know it, every recipe you ever pick up gets easier. Every day comes with a step by step guide, timers and a quick quiz to lock it in, plus videos for the key techniques.

Week one
Know Your Ingredients
The building blocks. What every ingredient really does, and why it matters more than any recipe you will ever follow.
- Setting up your station and getting to know your oven
- What flour, butter, sugar, eggs and chocolate really do
- Your first techniques, and your first bread
- Bonus: the science behind it all

Week two
Doughs, Cake and Frosting
Hands in the dough. The techniques behind bread, pastry and cake, learned one simple step at a time.
- Bread and pastry dough, from the very first step
- How cake and frosting really work
- Cookies and muffins, done properly
- Bonus: the science behind it all

Week three
The Level 1 Recipes
Everything comes together. The recipes you will bake for birthdays, holidays and Friday nights for years to come.
- Layer cakes and decorating
- A classic pie, a holiday bread and a weekend breakfast favorite
- A bake day that's all yours
- Graduation

Gift the schoolA new hobby, with dessert
Looking for a new hobby? Start with baking.
Baking is the rare hobby you can start tonight, in your own kitchen, and share by the weekend. The Homemade-ish Baking School takes you from never baked to braided challah in 21 days, one short lesson a day. Every lesson ends with something you can eat.
Is baking hard to learn?
Not when someone explains the why. Most recipes skip it, which is why bakes go wrong. Each lesson teaches one fundamental, so by Week 3 you can read any recipe and know what it will do.

About
Dana Hasson
I moved to America at 13 not speaking English, and the kitchen was the first place that made sense to me. Everything I know, I learned by baking, failing and figuring out why. Baking is a set of rules, and once you understand them, you can make anything.
I built Homemade-ish from my own kitchen, and this is the class I wish I'd had when I started.
With love, Dana

FAQ
Questions
Do I need any baking experience?
None. Orientation starts with calibrating your oven and weighing a cup of flour. If you've ever made a box mix, you're ready.
What age is it for?
Ages 16 and up can take it on their own. Younger bakers, 12 and up, are welcome with an adult in the kitchen, since there are hot ovens and sharp knives. The person enrolling must be 18 or older.
How much time does it take?
One lesson a day, most about 30 to 45 minutes, on your own schedule. Bread days need a few hours at home while the dough rises, but most of that is waiting.
I keep kosher or bake dairy free. Will this work for me?
Yes. Every lesson includes a Pareve Note with a dairy free version that doesn't taste like a compromise.
What does it cost?
$245, one payment, for a $750 value. The List gets first access when enrollment opens. Everything is digital, so you can start from anywhere.
When does the course start?
Whenever you're ready. Your lessons unlock one a day from the day you enroll, and nothing expires, so you can pause, catch up or bake ahead.
Do I need fancy equipment?
No. A digital scale, a few pans and an oven thermometer. Orientation has the full list, and most of it is probably already in your kitchen.
What's the refund policy?
All sales are final. The course is fully digital and your first lessons open the moment you enroll, so we don't offer refunds.
Can I give the Baking School as a gift?
Yes. Get the Baking School Gift Card, add their email and a note, and pick the day it lands in their inbox. They use it to enroll whenever they're ready.
Who is it a good gift for?
The friend who says they can't bake, the new baker in your life, or anyone who wants to make real cookies, cakes, pie and challah at home. It's fully digital, so it works as a last minute holiday gift too.
